Copying Shortcuts

This is an extremely important step and is not to be confused with opening a document (pdf) and coping the URL address from the address toolbar.

Note: If you copy the URL from the toolbar and you need to move files and directories in the future,  the links within the main document that you are referencing will not work.

Important Note: The URL is distinctly different shown in this image:

http://cstools.asme.org/csconnect/FileUpload.cfm?View=yes&ID=15573

http://cstools.asme.org/csconnect/pdf/CommitteeFiles/15573.pdf

Linking

To create your links in your main document (eg, minutes or agendas) you will access the posted document (links) that you have linked, on C&S Connect using the Content Management System (CMS).  This will allow the system to create a unique file ID, to the location of that file.  Once you have your documents (links) posted, right click on the first link and select Copy Shortcut.

You will use the Link Tool located in your Advanced editing Tool Bar to link the documents.
