Methods of Saving an Email List
Saving Your List While Composing an Email
Saving Your List Without Composing a Message
If you intend to frequently send messages to the same distribution list, you may want to save the list of names for future use. This will serve as an electronic address book in the VCC.
Note: If you customize your list by clearing some boxes, and you save the distribution list, the VCC will not remember who was cleared from the list (i.e., those members who should not have received the email).
There are two methods of saving an email list:
You may save the distribution list while composing your email.
You may save the distribution list without having to send an email.
You may save the current distribution list for future use while composing your message (i.e., just before you send the email).
Before you enter the email text, check the box next to the question Do you want to save this list for later use?
Enter a name for the list you are saving; this is required in order to save the list.
Continue with your email (as covered under the topic: Writing the Email).
Note: You have the option of replacing an existing list with the list you created using steps 1-3 – In this instance, there is no need to enter a name for the list; simply select the proper list from the drop-down menu.
You may save a distribution list for future use without having to compose a message (i.e., without the need to send an email).
Create the distribution list that you wish to save, then click the Save List link.
Enter a name for the list you are saving; this is required in order to save the list.
Click the Save List button; a confirmation will appear on the screen letting you know that the list was saved.
